Description

Join us this Thursday, immediately following an abbreviated Thursday Morning Business Meeting (TMBC) for the February Current Affairs Forum.  Our speaker is CAPT Andy Petruska, USN/US Merchant Marine (Ret).  Andy will speak on “Secret Adventures in Oceanography”about Merchant Marine ships that scour the world’s oceans probing and recording data to enhance the Navy’s ability to conduct operations.  Andy holds master’s degrees from the Naval War College and Florida State University, and is a graduate of the German Armed Forces Staff College in Hamburg, Germany.  He retired from the Navy in 1998 after teaching Strategy and Policy at the Naval War College and retired for a second time from the Merchant Marine in 2010.  The Current Affairs Forum will begin promptly at 8:30 AM in the 19th Hole at the Indian River Colony Club on Thursday, February 17th.  If you can’t make it in-person, join us via Zoom VTC, but don’t miss this special MOAACC eventReservations are not required!
