All Military World Slow Pitch Softball Championships - Veterans Appreciation Day

All Military World Championship Softball Tournament at Space Coast Stadium in Viera 21 - 25 September. 

Veterans Appreciation Day:  24 Sep, Main Stadium

—  All Vets get in Free all day using Blue Gate (Vet Volunteers needed to assist)

—  Ceremony Begins at 1000, followed by a championship game

—  RTFL-1 Will be asked to dedicate a permanent  POW/MIA Seat Covering for a 

seat behind home plate.  Max of 15 Bikes as part of Ceremony. Trailer with POW/MIA 

Chair Welcome

—  Services Honored between innings

—  First Pitch Ceremony with a Vet throwing out — this time a GWOT Vet

—  Veteran Owned Businesses will have Vendor Locations, Vet Orgs tables/canopies  at no charge.  Contact Donn to sign up a Vet Table

—  Final details out by 13 Sep

MOAACC/GDF Sponsored Team: 

—  Patrick Space Force Base active, family,civilian Coed Team

—  Plays only 21/22 Sep with Times TBA by 13 Sep.  

—  Team Shirts with GDF logo available from last year or new ones to purchase after 13 Sep with name on back —  See “Little JOE”

OTHER INFO:

—  100 teams preregistered from bases all over the world

—  The USA Patriots (Wounded Warriors) will be there as a team to play against other teams with no special fanfare sought

—   There are 9 fields of play so softball unfolds from 0800-2200 every day in many places
