Next Brevard No One Veteran Left Behind (BNOVLB) Service

This will be the 2nd BNOVLB committal of unclaimed cremains.  The Support Committee of the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery (CCNC) In conjunction with the Brevard Veterans Memorial Center and MOACC, has been working to verify the cremains of veterans and their eligible family members for placement at CCNC.

Please plan to attend as well as let others know; the ceremony is expected to last approximately 45 minutes to an hour.  Parking will be available on the grass behind. Shelter #2.  There will be an information and Volunteer Check in Table in front of Shelter #2.  

This Service will include more than two dozen veterans.  It combines 20 from BNOVLB research efforts working with the VA and CCNC , as well as 20 Veterans already laid to rest at CCNC without family members in attendance.  Their names will also be read as we honor their service.  

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

We need the following volunteer positions for this very special event.  If you are able please indicate which role you would like (but also be flexible please!!) and email your contact details to BNOVLB event volunteer coordinator, LaRue Fleming:    <laruefleming1@yahoo.com>. (Email above).  She will get back to you with the final list before the service.  The positions are:

• Urn Bearer
• Flag Bearer
• Flower Bearer
• Ushers (Programs and Seating)
• Logistics ( Set up, Parking, etc)

MEDIA COVERAGE:

There will be media releases going out next week to help spread the word to the public and the media in all forms.  We hope this will help give these veterans and eligible family members the honor and recognition they deserve,  after sometimes many years of waiting for that to happen.   This will also, hopefully,  create more public awareness as well attendance on 25 Sep.
