237th Commemoration of the Last Naval Battle of the Revolutionary War

Please mark your calendars and save the date for 237th Commemoration of the Last Naval Battle of the American Revolutionary War. The event will take place at the Veterans Memorial Center on Merritt Island on Saturday, 07 March 2020, 1000-1130. Details are included in the poster below. Please help us spread the word. NOTU is also part of the program as we contrast today’s Navy to the one helping to create our country 1776-1783.

This year’s ceremony will be special as we expect the Sons off the American Revolutionary War (SAR) National President and over 30 groups “Massing the Colors” and presenting wreaths to honor our forbearers and that generation of patriots. Please join us to not only learn more about American military history but also enjoy great pageantry and dozens in period dress from SAR, DAR and CAR Chapters throughout Florida and beyond. There will be a special cake and drinks available after the ceremony. Last year 200 attended. With more groups this year and some media coverage, we expect that number will grow in 2020.
