Following his enlistment in the Navy, Mac received 15 months of intensive training at the US Naval Guided Missile School, Dam Neck, VA, graduating as a Polaris Fire Control Technician Ballistics and was responsible for the operation and maintenance of the submarine Missile Control Center computers that program and launch the missiles. His service included assignments in Spain, Groton CT, and the Naval Test Ordinance Unit at Port Canaveral. Mac later attended Officer Candidate School and served on submarines, ship and shore duty stations. He holds a BS in Mathematics and Science from Rollins College, and an MS in Management from Florida Tech. Following his Navy service, he was a Manager with Computer Sciences Raytheon, an advisor with Merrill Lynch, and taught Project Management at Brevard Community College. He is currently a member of our chapter’s Speakers Bureau and the Veterans Back to Class Program.
