MOAACC is conducting a Virtual TMBC. The Thursday Morning Breakfast Club is MOAACC's weekly meeting to exchange facts and fun. Due to the COVID 19 challenges/constraints, we had to cancel in-person TMBCs until further notice.

However, we will be conducting this TMBC via the Zoom Teleconferencing application. This ensures compliance with CDC guidelines and still enables us to conduct MOAACC business. Please RSVP through this notice or send an email to moaacapecanaveral@gmail.com indicating you will attend virtually. You will be able to attend virtually through your computer, through a Zoom phone application or you can dial in using your home or cell phone. Once RSVPs are received, you will receive a confirmation email with all the information and access instructions. Thank you for your support as MOAACC GOES VIRTUAL!

Description

August “Bring Your Own Coffee & Donuts to Learn” Program --

“Contingency Planning Your Estate During Uncertain Times”

One thing is certain, we are all getting older.  As we age, somethings we should think about are protecting our assets, planning for possible incapacity, minimizing inheritance taxes, while maximizing an inheritance for those we leave behind.  With economic uncertainty and market swings a part of the economic landscape, how can we prepare for the inevitable?  Our topic for the August “Bring Your Own Coffee and Donuts to Learn” program series will help answer these questions.  The speakers are chapter members Captain Robin Petersen (USAF-Former) Esq, LL.M. and Lt Col Roger Klaffka (USAF-Ret) Esq.  Their topic is “Contingency planning your estate during uncertain times.”

Robin and Roger specialize in elder law and estate planning.  Both represent one of our chapter sponsor/advertisers--Estate Planning and Elder Law Center of Brevard.  Robin is a former Air Force Judge Advocate General (JAG) officer. He comes from a longline of military family members and grew up as a military ‘brat’ before joining the Air Force. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of the Estate Planning & Elder Law Center of Brevard and has been in practice since 1991.  Roger is a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel with 25 years of military service. He served as an enlisted aircraft mechanic and aircraft maintenance officer in various worldwide assignments. Roger completed his law degree at Stetson University College of Law with a focus on estate planning and elder law after leaving the Air Force.

Join us virtually using Zoom VTC as we welcome Robin and Roger as our August speakers on Thursday, 20 August at 0930, immediately following an abbreviated TMBC.   If you haven’t registered for a previous virtual TMBC, “click” on the events calendar link on our website to register to receive the joining instructions for the event.  Don’t miss this special MOAACC event!

Robin M. Petersen, Esq., LL.M.                Roger W. Klaffka, Esq.
