TOPIC: Fastest Recovery For Your Knee Replacement

          Dr. Reino is an orthopedic surgeon with specialty interest in Fast Recovery Methods after total joint replacement. He is the only surgeon in Brevard County performing a Lateral Approach Knee Replacement. This method avoids cutting the quadriceps muscles and keeps the scar away from the bending portion your knee- both of which allow for fast early motion. Additionally, he employed a unique patient led rehab protocol which promotes less swelling using only home based exercises. Since December 2023, this home base program has allowed up to 25% of his knee replacement patients to completely avoid visits to a physical therapist.

Background: Dr. Pasquale Reino is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon. He graduated from Westminster College in Wilmington, Pennsylvania, and received his doctoral degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2007. Dr. Reino completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at South Pointe Hospital and was Chief Resident at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital in 2012.

          From 2012 to 2016, Dr. Reino was in the US Navy as an orthopaedic surgeon. He worked at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center treating service members returning from Afghanistan with complex war injuries. Providing care for returning war heroes was very rewarding, personally and professionally. He was also stationed in Yokosuka, Japan, and performed his final tour of duty at the Naval Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Reino rose to the rank of Lieutenant Commander, and he was awarded two Navy and Marine Corps achievement medals and one Joint Service commendation medal.
