2026

March

  1. Mar — First Annual National Vietnam War Veterans Day 1600-1900 at Captains House 1300 Bianca Drive NE Palm Bay. Incudes ceremony, memorabilia displays, guest speakers and FREE dinner from 1630- 1730. Presented by VVA Chapter 1096, Vietnam War Exhibit and Vietnam Veterans of Brevard.   2. Mar — VIETNAM - READING OF THE NAMES - 1400-1600. At Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US Highway 1, Mims. The annual Reading of the Names will be at the Flag Assembly Area. The names of each Vietnam veteran buried at CCNC from March 31, 2025 through March 26, 2026 will be respectfully read. The public and all veterans are invited; the Unforgettable Memories Foundation will present Vietnam veterans with a pin in recognition and thanks. A limited number of chairs are provided, lawn chairs welcome, water provided.
  3. Mar — Am Legion AUX 344 Easter Egg Hunt for Vet Kids. NEW VENUE. Kiwanis Park 0900-1300.
  4. Mar — BBQ, Beer, Boots BBBB Fest at Veterans Memorial Park 1500-2200. Paid Event Sponsored by Space Coast Daily.
  5. Mar — United States Air Force Band in Concert, Main Stage of the King Center in Melbourne 1900-2100. FREE but Tickets required at King Center Booking.
  6. Mar — Navy League Fundraiser atTime Out Sports Bar , Cocoa Village 1700-2100.

April

Note: Look for the Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening of the Amphitheater and other VM Park facility by mid April. Check out the Many new, non-veteran events that will be included there in future BVMC calendars.

04 Apr — Easter Egg Hunt presented by Georgianna Church for almost 1000 kids. BVMC Park. 0900- 1300

04 Apr — Field Manor Founders Day Fundraiser. 1100-1600

04 Ap — Veterans Resource Fair — Viera Community Center 1030-1230

09 Apr — Veterans Resource Roundtable #4 - Palm Cottages Rockledge 0830-1000.

  1. Apr — 2026 Shrimp Feast sponsored by the Propeller Club 1800-2200 at Gator’s Portside in Cape Canaveral Port. Event helps Propeller Club Maritime Education Programs while enjoying great seafood and having fun with door prizes, live auction and dancing. Cocktails at 1800 with Shrimp Dinner beginning at 1830.   2. Apr — Heroes for Military Kids 5 K Kids Dash. 0800-1030 at the Avenues in Viera. Sponsored by AVET. Check out www/avet-project.org.
  3. Apr. — Space Coast Honor Flight #1 of 5 2026 visits by veterans to see their monuments and memorials in Wash DC. Starts at 0400 hours at Melbourne International Airport Main Terminal with Welcome home set 2030 hours same evening. Come out and honor these veterans , some from the Korean War era and their Guardians that will travel with them. Many veteran organizations and community groups support this amazing program. MOAACC Good Deeds funds FIT ROTC Cadets and Veterans in the VA sponsored FIT Psych PhD program to serve as guardians throughout the year. Contact schf.org for more information and to sign up on the waiting list for both honorees and guardians.

12 Apr - Military Affairs Council (MAC) - Military Family Appreciation Month - Brevard Zoo - Active Duty and Familys - Kick off 1000 - Free admission, food voucher, photos, goodie bags, animal encounter at 1000

 

  1. Apr — 30th Annual Stars and Stripes Patriotic Golf Classic hosted by the Military Affairs Council of Accelerate Brevard 1100- 1800. At the Cocoa Beach Country Club on 5000 Tom Warriner Blvd, Cocoa Beach. Sign up to Golf or come for auctions and raffles. See Accelerate Brevard Events Web site for info.
  2. Apr — NEW VENUE Second Annual Space Coast Military Enlistment Ceremony 1700- Check in; Ceremony 1700- 1830. Viera High School Football Field Support more than 300 young men and women who have elected to enlist in all military service branches at or near high school graduation. 24 Apr - Space Coast Boomer Fest - celebrating 20 years Boomer Guide, 30 years Senior Life - 1000-1400 - Viera Community Center - for information call 321-242-1235

 

  1. April — 5th Annual NVHS Golf Tournament Fundraiser 0700-1400 at Rockledge Country Club. Sponsors needed and registration at $125 per golfer available at: event@nvhs.org. Prizes, Lunch, Hole in One free Car and much more, all to support the work of NVHS to prevent veteran family homelessness. and help those who are.

  1. May — Florida’s 38th Annual “All Veterans Reunion” at Wickham Park. Sponsored by Veterans Memorial Reunion Inc. Wall escort and set up 03 May with the full reunion featuring vendors, food, live music, beverages, moving walls, static displays and much more daily from 07-10 May all day into the evenings.   3. May — In the BVMC Park and Plaza: Florida wide Ride for Freedom presented by Rolling Thunder FL- 1. Friday focus is ride in, Gold Star Family Dinner and Flame Walk to the Walls and Monuments (1500-2000) . Saturday is Rally with food, music and much more. (0900-2000) Sunday, 25 May will be motorcycle ride for freedom starting at BVMC Plaza and MI Mall 0900-1100. More details in April.

25 May — MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY - CAPE CANAVERAL NATIONAL CEMETERY. 0900-1030 At Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US Highway 1, Mims on Monday, May 25, the annual Memorial Day ceremony will begin at 9 am in the Flag Assembly Area. A limited number of chairs are provided, lawn chairs welcome, water available.

20 Jun — Memorial 5K Run honoring Christian Bellmore , MIHS Graduate who served in the USAF, Veterans Memorial Park — 0700-1100.

JULY

  1. July BCSO/BVMC Independence Day Parade and America 250 Celebration. (1000 - 1300). Check BCSO web site to register in the parade in May. Parade starts at Merritt Island High School ( 1000- with set u[ 0830-1000) and continues to Edgewood jr/sr High School and the BCMC Plaza a an Park where food trucks and music await to celebrate 250 years of America and Veterans who created, protected and continued America as we love it.

AUGUST

  1. Aug — Annual Military of there Purple Heart Recognition Ceremony at the BVMC Museum (1400-1600) with special recognition of 10 Purple Heart Recipients where their stories of courage and sacrifice will be told. Quilts of Valor also presented along with recognition for several officials. Contact Donn Weaver for more information.

SEPTEMBER

  1. Sep — Commemoration of the attacks on America on 9/11/2001 sponsored by Club 1013 And BVMC. (1700-1830) In the Plaza or new Park Amphitheater. Details in July.
