06 Dec — Gold Star Family Indoor Holiday Tree set up 1400-1600 at Brevard Veterans Memorial Center Museum to stay up until 03 January. Contact Donn Weaver 757-871-6576 for more details and to arrange for a loved one’s Star if you lost them as a result of military service.

COCOA - ROCKLEDGE PARADE
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2025 | 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Join us for the 2025 Holiday Parades; this year’s parade theme is ‘Rockin’ Around the Holidays’!
The Merritt Island parade will be on Saturday, December 6, 2025, beginning at Merritt Island High School at 10:00 AM, and ending at Edgewood Jr./Sr. High at approximately 11:30 AM.
The Cocoa - Rockledge parade will be on Saturday, December 13, 2025, beginning at Rockledge High School at 10:00 AM, and ending at Lee Wenner Park at approximately 11:30 AM.
Mindy from Lite Rock 99.3 will be emceeing the parades again this year!

- Dec — Holiday Illumination 5K at Brevard Veterans Memorial Center Park 0700-1000. Sponsored by CAMI and managed by Running Zone. Registration and Information in November. Includes the Plaza Area of BVMC , portions of the Mall and newly upgraded BVMC Park.
- Dec — Merritt Island’s Annual Holiday Illumination Celebration Presented by Community Advocacy for Merritt Island (CAMI) (1600-2030 ) Includes Community Tree Illumination at the BVMC Plaza with possible chance to visit the new live Space Coast Gold Star Family Christmas and Holiday Tree if available for a small ceremony. There will be plenty of music, food trucks things for kids and much more for this great event.
- Dec — National Wreaths Across America Day at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery and four other Brevard Locations. Details in Mid- November. Family preference afternoon 12 and morning 13 Dec with the Ceremony beginning at the Flag Assembly area at 1100-1130 hours. Contact WAA/CCNC Deputy Location Coordinator Donn Weaver 757-871-6576 for more information or to buy wreaths or donate to the ceremony. There will be smaller WAA ceremonies at numerous cemeteries in the county.
- Dec—Merritt Island Airport 32nd Annual breakfast 0830 - 1100 to support USMC Toys for Tots. At Servant Ministries Hangar 471 Manor Dr . Admission is one unwrapped toy. Call Don White for any questions on 321-266-7410.
- Dec — WAA Ceremony at the Pinecrest Cemetery on Clearlake Ave in Cocoa (1400-1530) Pinecrest has a number of veterans who rest there including Korean War Medal of Honor Recipient, Emory Bennett. The event is being organized by Dorothy Walsh and Their Voice of Hope and staged by The Brevard Chapter 453 of the Military Order of the Purple Heart. Contact Dorothy at. events@theirvoiceofhope.com
- Dec — Women Veterans Annual Holiday/End of Year Party. 1200-1500 at the Gray Hall at BVMC located behind the Merritt Square Mall. Register at: events@theirvoiceofhope.com

Nore: All Events planned for the expanded Brevard Veterans Memorial Center Park are subject to confirmation by the County Parks and Rec, as well as Completion of the project and turnover of the Amphitheater and other new construction, landscaping, etc. County Parks and Rec plan a Ribbon Cutting when possible in the new year. That will be a very special event as the $8.2 Million is completed after the November 2025 Groundbreaking. .
In late December look for more events from January through May and confirmation and/or changes to Park events but, mark your calendars for:

- Jan — Key Lime Pie Festival — BVMC Park. Again, pending completion and Parks and Rec Approval.
February
02 Feb — Immortal Four Chaplains Ceremony BVMC Plaza and Gray Hall. 1400- 1530. Supported by the Marine Corps League, Brevard Detachment 513.
07 Feb — JROTC Run and Shoot, BVMC Park 0700-1200
14 Feb— JROTC Drill Meet #1, BVMC Park 0630- 1230
28 Feb — JROTC Drill Meet #2. BVMC Park 0630-1230
March
14 Mar — JROTC District Championships Drill Meet, BVMC Park 0630-1300
- Mar — Last Naval Battle Remembrance 0930-1100 BVMC Park. Presented by the Brevard Sons, Daughters and Children of the American Revolution.
28 Mar — Am Legion AUX 344 Easter Egg Hunt for Vet Kids BVMC. Park 0900-1300.
April
04 Apr — Easter Egg Hunt presented by Georgianna Church for almost 1000 kids. BVMC Park. 0900- 1300
- Apr — Second Annual Space Coast Military Enlistment Ceremony 1500- Check in; 1600-1800 Ceremony. Brevard Veterans Memorial Center Amphitheater and Park. Support more than 200 young men and women who have elected to enlist in all military service branches at or near high school graduation. Contact Donn Weaver, 757-871-6576 for more information. Additional details in February. (NOTE NEW DATE)
May
03 May — Hero Fest by Back Brevard Heroes to honor all first responders . 1000- 1600. BVMC Plaza, Gray Hall, Park
- May — In the BVMC Park and Plaza: Florida wide Ride for Freedom presented by Rolling Thunder FL- 1. Friday focus is ride in, Gold Star Family Dinner and Flame Walk to the Walls and Monuments. Saturday Rally with food, music and much more. Sunday motorcycle ride for freedom starting at BVMC Plaza and Mall 0900-1100.
- May — BVMC Memorial Day Ceremony BVMC Park 0930-1100.
